Exhibit Columbus by Snarkitecture + formafantasma, Columbus – Indiana

For this year’s edition, Exhibit Columbus worked with five international galleries to create installations along Washington street, Columbus’ main artery. Each of these galleries selected one designer from its stable to develop an object or experience that ‘enhances human interaction and connection, and that inspires community conversations about the role of design in daily life’.

Aybar Gallery, Miami – Florida

The new venue is called Aybar Gallery and occupies part of a modern warehouse, and not surprisingly, the interior – dipped in a pristine white hue – has a distinct utilitarian vibe that forms a perfect backdrop for what’s on display.

Formafantasma’s Anno Tropico exhibition, Milan – Italy

The pieces are designed to “shape” light, generating reflections and shadows in the gallery space. Items such as dichroic glass, optical lenses and a parabolic mirror are assembled with industrial materials like bricks and iron rods.
