Ceiling space, equipped with operable hanger racks going up and down, is allocated for the stock space. Here the shop staff’s routine movement is converted to vertical movements of the hanger racks. The hang racks can be used for display, utilized as “moving displays” which can be changed day by day.

There are between seven and nine rows of alveoli and there are as many columns as the store’s dimensions allow, the two-centimetre gap between every alveole is permanent.

The Miyake team wanted a new design concept for the 24 Issey Miyake shop in Shibuya’s Parco shopping complex, which includes a store that specially features Miyake’s new Bilbao bag.
