BBDO Offices by JAXDA, Shanghai – China

Random patterns of reclaimed black metal strips and circular pipes wrap the reception area wall. Where the metals are aligned very precisely into a complex yet rigid algorithm like the sleek piping systems of a car, the timber on the other hand gives the space a pulsating and movement like pattern as it randomly fills the ceiling moving from the entrance all around to the open bar area.

Ampelmann office by Fokkema & Partners, Delft – Netherlands

A yellow frame of pipes with 3D printed joints marks the lunch counter. The reception and coffee bar are made of steel frames with polycarbonate sheets, inspired by the Ampelmann gangways offshore. The most omnipresent intervention however, is the double storey volume completely materialized in cork. It holds meeting-, workshop- and simulation rooms. A spacious stair is cut out of the cork volume.

The Munich headquarters bring together the company’s head office and a regular hotel under one roof. The office space is complemented by a conference and staff training centre, as well as a public restaurant. All areas are accessed from a shared lobby.

Open plan workstations with Management desks set up surrounding the open plan office. All cabling was requested to be non visible. The boardrooms were custom made to match the rooms shape. Café breakout and reception areas were to compliment the office with modern European designs.
