A dramatic cross-tile floor pattern, based on similar patterns used widely across the city’s public and private spaces, defines key circulation routes throughout, and flips on its side to provide the store’s central focal point – a six-story-high tile-patterned wall which soars through the building’s central atrium.

HMKM redesigns the destination mensfloor at the Siam Paragon Mall, Bangkok. Set within the infamous Paragon Department Store in Siam Paragon Mall, the menswear area is a huge 5,000sqm space and part of a 10,00sqm floor shared with sportswear. An urban, industrial aesthetic prevails in the branded menswear areas, with each brand set within a strong architectural framework.

The store concept, a subtle ‘Fashion Garden’ narrative, was inspired by the neighbouring Hofgarten Parkland. HMKM were appointed as master interior architects for the whole project as well as creative interior designers for four of the five floors (with the basement retail design by Liganova).

The palette of colours centres on natural tones together with pastel colours. Materials span Italian travertine marble for the floor, rosewood that matches the opal glass for the furnishings, metals used both for the finishing of the walls and for the frames, and the colour ivory for the seating.
