Illustrated on the white surface of the packaging are the main elements of the village; the characteristic hill with planted rows of trees, water of the river and the lake, and a house of bees, who pollinate the plants and collect honey.

The geometric design of each label reflects the bee’s ways from the beehive to the different places of honey flow – the linden grove, the may meadow and the buckwheat field. As a result we managed to avoid the traditional visual clichés (bees, bee’s cells, drops etc.) and create a nuanced design instrument which we can use to label different kinds of honey.

Meliartos is an Athenian bakery that pays homage to the unique style of old Athens. Byzantine bread stamps and the bakery’s name components (meli means honey and artos means bread) inspired the logo. The decorative tile patterns were influenced by the ones found in neoclassical homes.
