The “clothes of wind,” designed by LEE, captures the versatile form and structure of the hanbok in a particularly stylish way.

Aesop store by Suh Architects, Seoul – South Korea

Central to the store, a steel vessel for Aesop’s skincare bottles bears not only the weight of the main counter but the store’s identity. This ‘perched’ smooth mass is crafted from 3mm rolled steel whose shade was carefully coordinated with the indigenous Korean quartz and felts selected.

The objects that were broken or worn out were used for a different purpose (combine and gather) which created a lively and vivid space. Like a puzzle which creates one complete image, the small objects came together to form and send a strong message.

To make the place younger and more relaxing, the designer use more wood and added a little drop of bright color by placing a set of modern style red iron chairs. Designer also sets orange spot lights to bring out the mood, encouraging people to have a nice chat here.
