Vibrant red, white and blue blocks of geometric colour coat the entire space to pay homage to the nation’s athletes, with tracks and pitches decorating the space that also picking out the colours of the French flag.

To enhance the space, we stripped back the stores original shell, replacing the curved walls with flat units and introduced an array of new features and finishes that included bespoke concrete wall fixtures and light timber flooring.

Tennis at Galeries Lafayette

The Galeries Lafayette lives in the world of tennis at the moment so all the windows along the Boulevard Hausmann tell us about the story of the well known champion Ronald-Garros and his team. To celebrate the 40th anniversairy of their partnership with Lacoste, the small yellow ball appears in several forms on the stage. The official timekeeper of the tournament, Longines as the notion of time is illustrated by moving shopwindows.

“In collaboration with Tom Dixon we worked on the branding and packaging for two very different types of polo shirts commissioned by Lacoste. The most eco-friendly way to package a shirt was not to print on the packaging at all but use embossing instead. For the techno polo we designed a speaking label that plays Tom’s voice at the push of a button – very techno.”
