The unique light installation was custom made by Roy David Studio for this specific office. It is composed from 70 LED’s installed in equal distances and variable heights. The variable heights of each light fixture create a movement like illusion, a perpetual wave that changes its direction in perfect sync with the observant eye.

The main room features the regained outdated ceiling and the setting of a tension between gross side walls in stone and a pristine white wall in the middle of which a yellow alcove faces zelliges used for the midway panel of the bar, from which emerge the ten draft beer taps presented to the patrons on a monolithic white Corian countertop.

Artist Mike Jasorka provides his custom 50’s style comic book artwork throughout the coffee bar area contributing a sense of whimsy to the clean lines of the lobby.

After a lot of experimenting with paper and watching many origami instruction films I managed to understand the technique and construct a pattern of my own. A lampshade that reflects the light downwards with a light coloured by the golden brass.

Melbourne architect, March Studio’s Rodney Eggleston has recently completed the third Singapore store at Millenia Walk for Australian skincare brand Aesop. In collaboration with Aesop’s founder Dennis Paphitis, the store features a significantly mesmerizing mass of coconut husk strings suspended from the ceiling.
