The aim of the design was to create a highly elegant, spacious and welcoming store, which has been achieved with the colour white, the bright large plain and arched surfaces. The two architects – Sandor Gocsei and Eniko Korompay – have kept the historic building’s indoor columns and the ratio of the space and given a flowing contemporary touch to it.

The display is amazing with the snowy mountain on the back ground, some snow ski equipments, and mannequin wearing (of course) Moncler jackets and accessories. Fabulous and excellent.

Boss Hugo Boss paper planes window display, Jakarta

Boss Hugo Boss window display reveals the childish side of its grown up customers by put metal paper-planes that surround the mannequin. Those paper planes are made from metal and arranged as if they attack the two mannequins on the center.

Harvey Nics: Brights on the Pipeline

The new Harvey Nics scheme is all about the brights. It consists of multi-coloured pipeline structures with various treatments attached to them such as fringing and coloured tubes. The background has been left looking unfinished and rough with visible roller strokes. As a contrast they have opted for 80′s style mannequins with confident poses 80′s fashions to match.

Selfridges Windows: Hit Songs in 3D

To mark the beginning of the summer festival season, Selfridges have collaborated with ten current musicians and asked them to visualise their hit songs in 3 dimensions. It’s amazing to what lengths some of the artists have gone. My favourite is probably the Empire of the Sun – window, because I love their song so much. Knowing the songs is a key to understanding what the windows are all about, hence I’m putting links up so you can listen to the songs.

Pratt + Paper & Ralph Pucci at Macy’s

Work from the “Pratt + Paper & Ralph Pucci” project is on display in the windows of Macy’s Herald Square.Macy’s Herald Square has unveiled seven new window displays featuring paper looks and sculptures, as well as a series of large pencil drawings, created by students in the Departments of Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, and Fine Arts. The work can be seen in the windows on Broadway between 34th and 35th streets through January 26.

On the 5th Avenue side the windows had a street/pop art kind of style painted with airbrush stencils. Knoth’s photograph presents a dark mood with the reflection of the building and American flag at the top left corner of the picture. It’s eery how the building seems to fade away revealing the diamonds and the mannequin well centered within the motif.

Colour-Block Brights, London

Bright, block colour is a major fashion trend this summer. Retailers are utilising on this trend to grab our attention. The stores have not just presenting their bright fashion in the windows, it’s in the window schemes themselves. Bright stock against bright background but also combined with white. Although this trend is mostly about mixing different block coloured together – I have thrown in some bright print windows as well.
