The Basic intention of interior design was to create a space, free from “sports fans” stereotypes, a space open for all kind of sports enthusiasts. The space-identity is highlighted with elements such as Wardrobe Lockers which refer to locker rooms, and also with wall decorations composed of quotes and figure sketches of major athletes, illustrated with the stencil technique.

The bar is the main element of the interior (almost over scaled for such a small place) and has a jack that allows it to rise from 80 cm during the day to 110 cm in the evenings. It is finished from raw metal sheets for the front face and Corten and oak massive wood for the counter top.

In this particular project for Outer BarraShopping, Rio de Janeiro, Kube used demolition wood for the floor, a “Terracor” texture that is similar to clay for the walls, container´s metal sheets for the cashier and the wall behind it, combined with elements from the gardening universe for decoration and reinforcement of the concept.
