VILLAGE FOODS office by Design & Creative Associates, Tahara – Japan

For the finish, we selected expressive genuine materials, such as solid wood boards, natural stones, and cement and mosaic tiles. By assembling and laminating fragments of these materials in open space, we tried to express joyful abundance. With various materials layering on each other utilizing their attributes, the finished design turned out to be very profound.

The retail space is a modern translation of retro ice cream parlors. Elements such as glowing light bulbs, painted wood paneling, black-and-white checkered mosaic tiles, and vintage ceiling fans are reminiscent of the past and arouse nostalgia.

Red Dog restaurant by designLSM, Nottingham – UK

The main restaurant area is adorned with aged leather banquettes, geometric flooring and a striking ceiling feature constructed out of decorative tin tiles. Our designers retained some existing features from other Red Dog sites including reclaimed pine panels and wall displays of early 19th American century portraits paying homage to the brand’s signature design details.

The lounge area is divided into two areas, the first area is the lounge which is surrounded by wine shelves and have one center piece of Audrey Hepburn, made entirely from intricate mosaic tiles with classy gold and copper frame.

The oil tanks are aligned under the cooking counter to mimic the street scene of Bing carts. The Red-white-blue patterns are integrated into mosaic tiles that are custom-made to suit the counter cladding.
