Nando’s restaurant by Block1: Design, Crawley – UK

The concept is based on the exploding woven patterns that exist within traditional fabrics and modern architecture. We used this as the base for redesigning the banquette shapes and fabrics, tile patterns, lighting concepts and ceiling and wall finishes.

Nando’s office by Oktra, London – UK

When Nando’s acquired additional space in their existing Putney headquarters, they appointed Oktra to refresh their offices and provide additional facilities for staff such as a large social break‐out spaces.

Nando’s restaurant by B3 Designers, Leigh – UK

A concertinaed canopy, hangs from a reclaimed wooden structure, carving a bold diagonal path through the restaurant. Caged lighting also forms an interesting ceiling feature in the interior space. The reclaimed wood frame continues to the canal side exterior where festoon lights have been used to give a laid back ‘garden’ feel and catch the eyes of passersby.

Nando’s restaurant by BuckleyGrayYeoman, Dundee – UK

BuckleyGrayYeoman has introduced a 40ft shipping container to house the kitchen at the heart of the restaurant. This reference to the roots of the Nando’s brand in South Africa, where shipping containers are commonly used as spaces for restaurants and shops, chimes with the quirky maximalism and materiality of the design.

Nando’s Restaurant by Blacksheep, Ashford

The brief was to design a concept space that steered the client away from the traditional Nando’s design and put a Blacksheep signature style and twist on the well known and loved chicken restaurant. The client wanted to attract a more mid market customer base and move away from a mass market centred business structure.
