The entrance area has a striking green moss wall and a large aquarium that precisely embedded in the wood paneling. The successful combination of natural landscaping, living aquarium with exotic fish and white reception prompts the small functional conference room for meetings.

Exploring changes from the subtle details, the boardroom is no longer a rigorous gesture with a unique ingenuity of the orange-red color, where Chinese calligraphy is vertically hanging on the wall, and black and white ink based picture of the West Lake and red cedar is in the opposite wall.

The rear cabinet storage loaded with books terminates into a tree foliage at the ceiling. This rear cabinet is designed with thinnest veneer clad sections of 12 mm. Fresh leaf motives run through glass, at the same time blocking the vision at eye level.

The main goal for our design team was to develop a simple, understandable yet stylish interior to support the main concept of the restaurant. We used lots of tactile materials like wood and concrete. The colour scheme consists of only four colours: copper red, grey, white and black.

We have selected our materials to create the impression of being in a pharmacy that is at once “natural, intimate, professional and accessible”. The most distinctive finishing touch is the design of a corporate herringbone pattern which with we have manufactured MDF panels overlayed on natural wood to completely cover the walls and furniture.

The stripped back palette of natural woods, clean marble and rough rendered walls and counters is the perfect setting for the Scandinavian inspired dishes. The flexible space with bi-folding doors brings the restaurant out into the centre of Neal’s Yard.
