VILLAGE FOODS office by Design & Creative Associates, Tahara – Japan

For the finish, we selected expressive genuine materials, such as solid wood boards, natural stones, and cement and mosaic tiles. By assembling and laminating fragments of these materials in open space, we tried to express joyful abundance. With various materials layering on each other utilizing their attributes, the finished design turned out to be very profound.

Large glass panels bring natural light into interior offices and conference rooms, reinforcing the principle of transparency. Workstation footprints were reduced, low panel heights were used for workstation walls, and collaborative spaces were dispersed throughout the floor.

Modular desks sit in the center of an open office surrounded by a lounge, glass-enclosed conference rooms and a large open kitchen. Walls are painted in bright colors or coated with white-board paint. The carpet, an index of activities programmed above, is a composition of carpet tiles developed in our office using parametric software.

CREATIVE OFFICES! Ogilvy & Mather office by M Moser Associates, Jakarta

Though the office has standard features, M Moser Associates provided a large, fun, and open meeting space near the cafe that can be used for dining, collaborating, and talking. The space also accommodates larger town-hall style meetings – and has a slide of course.

Analysing the specific conditions of the site we found a series of large, linearly connected but separate spaces in a former warehouse. Rather than trying to unify those spaces through one spacial concept we quickly decided to treat each room differently and create a series of different scenarios which would set the mood individually for each area.
