The main goal of this project was to create an open workspace for up to 30 employees with a strict functional division in only 177 square meters. Besides the main workspace, the client asked for a lounge zone, a small kitchen and a meeting room. To keep the space as open as possible we made a decision to divide the functional zones without physical barriers, by creating optical ones.

Transparent facades help to underline Swedbank’s OPENNESS towards the surrounding world while highlighting the semi public functions such as restaurant and conference facilities on the lower floors. The sculptural triple-V structure above creates an integrated roof for the main entrance and breaks up the façade in smaller geometric units.

The new office consists of four buildings linked by a connecting atrium. The colour scheme of the project is based on the four elements, earth, fire, wind and water, which are expressed in the office spaces of the four different buildings.
