The front side of the counter is covered in turn-of-the-century, Moroccan style cement plates, well-known from Budapest’s stairwells. The same aesthetics of bourgeois décor is present in the white confectionary chairs, inherited from the 1930s.

Dark grey walls make a great background for a wide range of shoes in different colours as well as coloful rope installation. Store interior is furnished with dark grey painted antiques – it is an echo of Warsaw-based shop. Massive old furniture with tiny colorful touches makes a good counterpoint for light rope installation.

This is the interior design for a fashion shop in Osaka, Japan. I dropped the dye by sanding old furniture and exposed white foundation, and accordingly I designed new furniture dyeing ash white.
Corner of the checkout counter is cantilever to avoid hitting the toe.
