I-AM worked in collaboration with the Jan team to create a destination restaurant full of excitement and uniqueness, where good taste goes hand in hand with creativity and innovation. Inspired by the golden ages of the Ottoman Empire and by the Persian Dynasties, Jan restaurant reflects a lost decadence and grandeur enjoyed by the former rulers of the Caspian Kingdoms.

In the round holes of the panels, the plants are placed. These herbs are also functional – the сhef can use them for the cooking. Urban panorama of St. Petersburg viewed from the 41st floor harmoniously continues the interior through the materials (wood, steel) and low-key colors used in the design of this space.

Simply Italian Restaurant by 5 Star Plus Retail Design, Hong Kong

We created a bright and open environment with the use of abundant natural wood, light colors and patterns that represent Italian traditions. Key features of the space are the open kitchen, where fresh food is prepared in front of the customer, and the bar on the other side. Guests can sit inside or outside at the bar.

Although we balanced the open kitchen with the enough numbers of seats and spaces, it made less space for other objects, fixture, and displays. In order to solve this problem, we adopted a three-dimensional structure, making use of the high ceiling height.

Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows show generously off the indoor setting, and lure in passers-by. The lofty space is clearly inspired by mid-century aesthetics, but it’s paired with a variety of modern light fixtures to lend it a distinctly contemporary feel.

It was important to H2O Plus to have a comfortable, home-like space so HGA incorporated informal seating areas, a large, open kitchen with bar, table and booth seating into the space while still keeping the office professional and effective.

The concept of this restaurant was inspired by the deep sea. Light fixtures emulate coral, bubbles and sea life. The open kitchen acts as a stage for the cooks who prepare and cooked food in front of the guests.

The restaurant was designed as a old fishing boat. A large old map of the world was used as a wallpaper around the open kitchen, large fishnet as a divider between the tables, decorative light fixtures were designed especially for the restaurant.

Instead of making use of specific antique and vintage furniture pieces in the venue, we chose to focus on the theme of ‘craftsmanship’, long prominent in the Karakoy neighborhood and adapt the related specific elements to present architectural and design trends. As a result, the materials of the venue have been chosen accordingly and can be observed with the prominent use of brass, oak and copper details.
