The result is a sophisticated collage of colors, textures, materials, and volumes that achieves the desired effect, which the duo dubbed “zigzagging.”

A modular grid of brass display units lines the store, made from brass that has been etched and brushed for extra tactility in a nod to the footwear purveyor’s emphasis on craftsmanship. The Dwelling Lab by BMW and Kvadrat

Together with Giulio Ridolfi the Milan based designer Patricia Urquiola was assigned to create a conceptual installation for the Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat and the German carmaker BMW. The result of this fruitful collaboration are these huge cone-like structures that seem to be growing out of the car’s body.
