The aesthetic of the new headquarters is a balance of a clean modern look and the design prioritizes access for all. To maximize natural light and views, the designers arranged custom sit-to-stand desks around the perimeter, and conference rooms in lieu of traditional corner offices.

The New College House frames a critical gateway to Penn’s urban campus, preserving vital green space and welcoming visitors via a public ‘lifted lawn.’ Bohlin Cywinski Jackson was challenged to engage a vibrant college community into the campus and the city on all four sides of the building, while also securing the College House by a single point of entry.

The 900 sq. ft. environment created for Hats in the Belfry feels more like a home than a commercial retail environment. It is bright, and welcoming. Rustic wood floors, reclaimed doors, and natural wood fixture details compliment and add warmth to the clean, white space.

‘PEOPLE ELEVEN’ Philly cheese steak restaurant identity by YNL Design, Seoul – Korea

YNL design designed the brand identity of People Eleven that specializes in Philadelphia cheese steaks. The overall concept used for the design was ‘American Vintage’. This concept was applied to not just the graphic designs, but also to the restaurant’s exterior signage and interior elements such as the fence.

Housed in Philadelphia’s historic Navy Yard, this multi-phased corporate campus provides new design studios and office space for the company’s distinctive retail brands, while celebrating the idiosyncratic remnants of 125 years of shipbuilding. The design embraces both the history of the Navy Yard and Urban Outfitters’ modern culture by layering old and new.

Ubiq Philadelphia by Architecture at Large
