Designer chose Agora, a plaza formed in polis ancient Greek city state, as a motive of this space. Agora is the day was plaza, marketplace, place with storytelling, and such a space where people discussed about politics, economy and society freely. Consequently, it was a space of daily life forming culture in it, and the designer plans to create such a space at this project.

These boundaries are the result of thousands of lightweight balls, or “seeds,” in motion on a fabric mesh ceiling. The “seeds” are made of PET plastic and are recycled content from plastic water bottles.

The design appears as a rectangular lantern that glows above ground, while the store itself is located at the subterranean level, sharing a direct connection with the shopping mall.

In addition to the boldly decorated plaza is a rooftop bar and 24/7 grab-and-go canteenM while rooms stay true to citizenM’s mantra of “more for less,” cutting out hidden costs and removing old hotel clichés in favor of king-sized beds, wall-to-wall windows, anti-jet lag rain showers, free WiFi, and free movies on the high-definition LED TVs.

The 32-foot structural glass cube marking the store’s entrance makes a bold architectural statement. Housing a transparent glass elevator wrapped by a circular glass stair, the transparent cube beckons potential customers down to the retail level below.

The North atrium is characterized by warm golden and bronze materials reflecting a cultural, traditional identity. In the South atrium silver and grey nuances with reflective textures reflect the city identity and its urban rhythm.
