The coffee bean stockyard is takes up one entire wall, and includes carefully selected coffee beans from all over the world. In order to create a high-ceilinged open space, the original wooden construction required additional structural support.

The originality of the beer tap handles is achieved by slicing off four sides of a cherry blossom branch to create an octagonal shape. The irregularity in length and color of the wooden handles adds to the unique character of the bar.

Grain Bread and Brew by PUDDLE, Tokyo – Japan

The ground floor of this building is the first outlet of craft sandwich brand, GRAIN BREAD AND BREW. The client is a drinkware maker, with many supporters from cafes and shops, both domestic and overseas. After traveling all over the world and being exposed to many different cultures, they wanted to express and share these experiences in the form of a sandwich as their new business.

Dandelion Chocolate by Puddle + moyadesign, Tokyo – Japan

Surrounded by a large park which serves as a place of recreation and relaxation for local residents, and a facility for environmental education, this was a project to renovate a warehouse, more than 50 years old, into the first overseas outpost of Dandelion Chocolate, San Francisco’s premier “bean-to-bar” chocolate maker.

The translucent exterior – made from a combination of aluminum and polycarbonate – was developed to reference a greenhouse. The temporary structure employs straightforward techniques for set up and taking down, this element combined with its lightweight material allows for it to be reinstalled at a diverse range of locations.
