DesignLSM were commissioned to redesign the interior and brand identity for Queens, helping them to create an all-inclusive leisure destination for families, friends and city workers. The overall concept comprises of 12 stylish bowling lanes, an indoor ice rink, two contemporary bars and the launch of a new F&B offering from famous pop-up restaurateur Jimmy Garcia.

Japanese artist Shuji Mukai was commissioned to hand-paint three columns within the store, with a design that relates directly to the gutai art movement popular in the 1950s and 60s. Peter Marino angled the wall behind the columns to make the artwork a focal point, while simultaneously re-directing circulation. In addition, Italian artist Giuseppe Penone has installed pieces made of molded leather and bronze — materials employed to lend the scheme a “natural ruggedness”.
HMKM redesigns the destination mensfloor at the Siam Paragon Mall, Bangkok. Set within the infamous Paragon Department Store in Siam Paragon Mall, the menswear area is a huge 5,000sqm space and part of a 10,00sqm floor shared with sportswear. An urban, industrial aesthetic prevails in the branded menswear areas, with each brand set within a strong architectural framework.
The strong color perfectly reflects the bold attitude of the Svedka brand, while ensuring that the bottles pop off the shelf. The shrink wrap technique also allows Svedka to easily and efficiently launch special edition flavors throughout the year or to react to changing market trends quickly and at low cost.
