To the right side there is a sushi bar that allows the user to see the chef’s hands when preparing the sushi through the reflective qualities of the high polished brass ceiling.

The street level houses fifty three vending stalls configured in an organic and fluid arrangement, which reinterprets the grid of the traditional market. The two upper levels house a couple of restaurants and roof deck. The project also includes and open air space surrounded by a fully functional vertical vegetable garden, from which fresh produce will be harvest to then be sold at the market, thus completing the cycle of production-distribution-retail.

Rojkind Arquitectos have designed the “Portal of Awareness” installation in Mexico City. The designers were commissioned by the coffee brand Nescafé to use 1,500 coffee mugs to create
the public installation.

Emerging from the ground like climbing ivy, the CNC routed facade appears to waver and curve. Subtly different, the two layers of self-supporting steel were precisely handcrafted and finished to generate the dynamic effect.
