A billowing cloud-like canopy in all white drapes from the ceiling, creating an ephemeral atmosphere and visual impact upon entering. “Our approach considered the forms and palette of the Valextra collection,” explains Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen of Snarkitecture.

An array of forty-five white inflatable spheres, each controlled by an individual performer, establishes a grid to engage the massive architectural scale of the room. Choreographed movements unfold slowly over the course of the evening reconfiguring the field of spheres in a series of elegant yet playful exercises.
The Richard Chai store is a temporary retail installation created by Snarkitecture in collaboration with designer Richard Chai as part of the Building Fashion series at HL23. Carved from the confines of an existing structure beneath the High Line, the installation envelops visitors within a glacial cavern excavated from a single material.
