PUMA SoHo Store by Colkitt & Co and Plajer & Franz, New York

Other playful features, known as “Redworld”, are spread throughout the store including PUMA phones with playful messages, and iPads with videos. Secondary elements include directional wood slats, neon lighting, pixelated red branding walls, exposed concrete floors, existing granite and brick walls, cast iron details, and custom tile mosaics.

Under this effervescent ceiling, a gleaming white counter reaches almost the full length of the store, presenting the assorted fresh and baked Snog toppings within an elegant glass cabinet. Marcel Wander’s Shitake stools have once again been used for the seating, arranged around bespoke tables.

Rugby Ralph Lauren store by Michael Neumann Architecture, Nagoya

MNA’s newest Rugby Ralph Lauren opened last week in Nagoya – the brand’s second store in Japan. The new façade evokes the historic cast-iron storefronts of Soho, but with a huge video screen across the second floor. The store interior features mosaic floors, anaglyptic ceiling tiles and a collegiate decor.

Dior Homme Pop-up store, New York

The iconic French men’s label just popped up in Soho while the Dior Homme Boutique at 57th Street is undergoing renovation. Opened last April 16th, the Dior Homme pop-up store is located at 133 Greene Street and will serve as the sole Dior Homme Boutique in New York while the New York flagship is being retrofitted.

Cut25 Boutique by Studio Dror, New York

Israeli designer Yigal Azrouël launched his playfully edgy women’s clothing label Cut25 in 2010, building on the success of his well-established eponymous line. Dror developed the store’s 1,400-square-foot Soho space, which features an angular, geometric installation that plays off of the collection’s varied textures and body-conscious silhouettes.

The SoHo flagship store for the fashion retailer creates a luxurious environment with custom-created materials and furniture and a rotating “cage” installation. The cage at the entry of the store is the stage on which the brand can showcase a curtain inspiration and give customers a new experience with each visit.

Hot on the heels of the opening up shop in Southwark, the newest Aesop store opens its doors in the bustling Soho area. This time the australian cosmetics brand has collaborated with Ciguë, the paris-based architecture + design practice which also collaborated on the pop-up shop at Merci and the Marais Boutique.

The Soho – The Canteen by Wonderwall, Tokyo

Katayama designed this café with the assumption that it would be frequented everyday by tenants of the SOHO and people working in the neighborhood. He applied the same multi-color motif from the open space in the middle of the building to on of the walls in the café and also inside its lively open kitchen. Plenty of natural light and ocean view terrace seating help create a very liberating and comforting atmosphere.

Adidas SLVR Store, New York

Adidas opened its first adidas SLVR store during New York Fashion Week in February 2009. Located in Soho, the 250 square meter space reflects the values of the adidas SLVR brand, including simplicity, transparency and functionality. White is the main colour used throughout the space with accents of silver metal giving it a sense of light and fluidity.
