Jaime Beriestainhas prioritized the use of natural light, fine materials and excellent finishes for this project. The objective is for guests to feel at home, with all the comfort and well-being of a private residence. The hotel has 89 spacious room, 25 of which are suites, and each one has a special character thanks to the original artwork of Fernando Prats.

La Rambla Camper Store by Kéré Architecture, Barcelona – Spain

At the store front, the architecture presents itself as a basic modular shelving system that is devoid of color and texture in order to highlight the objects displayed inside. This simple construction lines the interior of the space, producing the effect of phenomenal depth.

Barceló Torre de Madrid hotel by Jaime Hayón, Madrid – Spain

The Barceló Torre de Madrid hotel is set inside a 1957 building in the Spanish city. Hayón, a Madrid native, wanted to show the city’s “diversity and richness” through his design, and mixed traditional architectural elements and a jewel-toned colour palette with fantastical sculpture and art pieces.

English for Fun linguistic school by Rica Studio, Madrid – Spain

Local architects Rica Studio designed the two-storey Madrid flagship of the English for Fun linguistic school, aiming to booster the schoolchildren’s creativity, imaginations and stimulate all five senses. The centre uses the Reggio Emilia approach to teaching children a foreign language, a method that combines self-guided play, visual learning and the built environment.

Losada Serrano dental clinic by Silvosa París Arquitectura, Madrid – Spain

Here you can recognize straight away the fusion between noble and industrial materials, classic and contemporary, always through an own vision that clearly represents the identity from Nozomi’s company. “The reinterpretation of the Kabukicho, Omoide Yokocho y Hajimeya alleys is done through a monochrome color scheme represented by grey and rusty finishes, as wall as a touch of wood that adds warmth to the overall concept”.

Tech company Quobis has designed their new offices, located in Pontevedra, Spain. An old farm that now resembles a greenhouse full of windows and light. We have an open space with 40 positions. This area includes a phone box for unexpected calls to our mobiles devices and a stage that we use to invite local artists.

Conceived as an art gallery, the office has ivory walls that make an ideal setting for Santomà’s furniture. “It’s like an exhibition space,” he says. “The pieces really pop against the white backdrop.” Breaking the geometry of the space is a 2-m-tall hemispheric meeting room – or “cupola”, as the designer calls it – clad in 3-mm-thick MDF, transparent panels, mirrors and palm fronds, any of which can be detached and shifted to another position.
