Given the site constrains; the design seeks every opportunity to maximize the store frontage while allowing visibility to penetrate deep into the store from the public space.

The fluid geometric form is articulated as a series of alternating CNC milled birch plywood ribs. The frosted storage Perspex storage elements are internally illuminated with LED’s to gently articulate the floating boxes within the fluid field of curved ribs. With a strict budget, this project was an exercise in realizing complex geometries with limited finances.
Noma food lab by 3XN architects, Copenhagen

This research lab was designed by 3XN architects’ Innovation Unit, GXN. The design sought to reflect Noma’s philosophy of pushing the boundaries in Nordic cuisine, by using solely Nordic materials—including several types of local wood—and seeking a raw and simple aesthetic.
Arzu Kaprol store by Autoban, Istanbul

Situated in Istanbul’s Galata district, a common ground for art galleries and specialized shops, Turkey’s respected fashion designer Arzu Kaprol displays her collections in a recently renovated historical building recognized as “Kamondo Inn‘. For the store’s transformation, Autoban conserved the original brick arch structure and designed everything around it.

Haruyama offers its customers a dizzying number of options for suits, shirts and ties.Variety of choice is one of Haruyama’s strengths, but customers can also be overwhelmed by the number of options, and find it difficult to choose the best matches for their suit.
Aesop store by March Studio, Singapore

Melbourne architect, March Studio’s Rodney Eggleston has recently completed the third Singapore store at Millenia Walk for Australian skincare brand Aesop. In collaboration with Aesop’s founder Dennis Paphitis, the store features a significantly mesmerizing mass of coconut husk strings suspended from the ceiling.
Maison Martin Margiela, Tokyo

This first Maison Martin Margiela store opened in Tokyo in 2000. Located in the ebisu area of the city, the former residence incorporates the offices and sales rooms of Kokonoe corp ltd.,
(the joint venture company in charge of the Mason Martin Marginal brand in Japan), as well as a store on the ground floor. In february 2006, the store mores to another location in a former electrical products factory building, still in the ebisu area.
