I was on an opening of a sculpture exhibition in Győr. The creation of the artist was an open-air statue, which was made of an epoxy resin and he made material become like clay with graphite . This inspired the concept.

Sit Shop Shu store by Chris Briffa Architects, Valletta – Malta

The site for a new shoe shop in Valletta, presented a very limited volume – one 3x7m room with an underlying basement – which provided the most significant challenge. From the early sketches, we adopted a vertical approach rather than a horizontal one, and the volume was fragmented into one giant staircase which would combine display, seating, storage and all services into one.

The 24 Issey Miyake store is conceived by moment design’s Hisaaki Hirawata and Tomohiro Watabe and located in Hakata, Japan. This store is to stimulate the shopping experience in a store. The bright colors attracts customer’s attraction against a simple white background at the store. There are bright lights which causes the clothes to “glow” and creates a lively atmosphere for the shoppers.

Curiosity has completed the design of the Uniqlo Megastore that has opened near Shinjuku station in Tokyo. The new design is strongly influenced by the Tokyo urban landscape and the large entrance, marked with three display towers, recreates a mini-Shinjuku city.

The white and wood theme perfectly captures the label’s minimal-but-warm aesthetic. Entering on ground level the staircase drops from the middle of the room, with amazing slatted dividers rising up on either side.

The project is a new flagship retail building located in Tokyo’s Aoyama shopping district, just off Omotesando Street. The design is a diagrammatic response to strict local codes, the immediate surrounding context (bordered by world-renowned architecture and a quiet residential neighborhood), and the desire to represent the material craft that is inherent in the tradition of Japanese construction. The building is designed to meet regulated energy efficiency standards and use local/regional materials.
