This design includes pre-distressed materials which welcomed additional wear. Inexpensive reclaimed barn wood, worn antique salvaged materials, and exposed structural steel and concrete are utilized in their natural state.

Ceiling space, equipped with operable hanger racks going up and down, is allocated for the stock space. Here the shop staff’s routine movement is converted to vertical movements of the hanger racks. The hang racks can be used for display, utilized as “moving displays” which can be changed day by day.

R&G brand is aimed at a younger segment of Rodd & Gunn’s target market. Most of the fixtures are ‘found’ objects to give the feeling of a ‘pop-up’ store.

The complex retail build-out included the construction of 18,000 square feet of sales floor in a three-story retail building, including a finished basement and two full floors on the first and second levels. The project design, required a compressed work schedule and a series of logistical issues that impacted the project schedule, including an alteration of the building to allow for a unique high-design staircase, a focal point of the modern store design.
