FENNIE+MEHL was asked to make the new office communicate SASB’s commitment to sustainability and corporate transparency while fitting the work style of a staff intently focused on complex data analysis. The plan focused solely on finishes, furniture and visual artifacts.

The interior is inspired by the functional aesthetic of american high school stadiums, and as such it features a tunnel entrance, stands for live-game viewing on big screens, locker rooms instead of dressing rooms, and track and field areas where avid shoppers can test and experience products. To signal the brand’s embrace of environmental principles, sustainability is very much at the core of the design.

10YO Tawny Port wine packaging by Omdesign

The packaging is 100% Eco-friendly, complying with the environmental and sustainability concerns that Casa Ramos Pinto has made its policy. It was created and produced by the Omdesign agency and consists of two cork blocks and an outer sleeve of pressed cardboard that unites the two parts.

The Hamburg based design agency Preussisch Portugal was commissioned to redesign the Trend-Center with more than 2,000 square meters. On site the invited trading partners had the opportunity to learn more about new products and upcoming innovations and services.

Sustainable strategies were fused into the overall design of the space and include finishes such as reclaimed wood, regionally sourced materials, low volatile organic compound (VOC) products, renewable resources and LED lighting throughout. Diffused interior skylights were added as well to enhance the amount of natural light in the office.

The large overseas shipping container is the highlight of the office. Its many experiences at sea are now joined by the spectacular transport to the followfish territory: during the construction phase, the container was lifted into the building by crane and suspended from the ceiling.
