Yo’Hood trade-fair stand by Linehouse, Shanghai – China

The timber structure employs a natural material in a gravity-defying linear pattern, with mirror-clad vertical columns camouflaging the support system and creating the illusion of transparency and levity. At the same time, one side of the timber slats are painted in a gradation of hues which are only revealed as the viewer’s perspective revolves around the structure.

The second iteration of MINI Living’s Urban Cabin project is installed in the courtyard at creative venue A/D/O in Greenpoint. Created as a model for a tiny living space, the timber structure is designed to house up to two people, and to be added to in various ways by different designers and architects around the world.

Our pavilion, “SanSan” (山山), is an amalgamation that means “mountains and mountains.” The design is a formal interpretation of the well-known Jiri mountains, whose trail begins and ends at Namwon.

The design is inspired by traditional courtyard building, the initial idea is to build a magnified courtyard house, a workplace full of natural atmosphere and flexibility, a workplace which is self-contained and forms a corresponding relation with the surrounding broad and flat field.
