Warehouse office by Studio Layer, London – UK

The design studio recently relocated its premises to a 3,500-square-foot warehouse in Hackney, east London. When planning the studio space, Hubert was keen to create a flexible environment that suited the 20-person-strong team, which is made up of researchers, engineers and industrial, graphic and digital designers.

Warehouse store by Checkland Kindleysides, London – UK

A single run cast concrete staircase descends into the 183 square-metre basement and lands to face the back focal point of the store. This positioning subtly encourages a journey around the space, allowing you to fully explore key collections before arriving at the fitting rooms.

The design of the shop front emphasises the historical roots of Warehouse. The lowered I-Beam element emphases the architecture and is a clear reference to the warehouse / gallery iconography. It sets Warehouse apart and evokes an urban industrial aesthetic.
