In addition to workstations, the office includes two conference spaces (one essentially a part of the larger office and another private option), as well as an entertainment area, symbolically raised two steps above the workstation level.

The use of conventional interior finishes, such as drywall, was purposefully minimized, in keeping with the “gear garage” aesthetic. The architecture and material palette is simple, raw, and utilitarian; the walls are lined with exposed plywood and concrete backer board.

The owners’ interest in focusing on the experience of wine finds its expression in the casual seating arrangements, and the subtle, natural materials and hues used to build out the space. Defining the space is the forty-foot-long, custom-fabricated, pewter-topped tasting bar, which is set atop a whitewashed pine base.

Cloud Room by Graham Baba Architects and Brian Paquette Interiors, Seattle – Washington

With over 5,000 square feet of space, Cloud Room houses a large, co-working area filled with rows of tables and chairs, as well as a lounge, a glass-fronted conference room, and phone rooms. Most co-working spaces are sparsely decorated, but Cloud Room is outfitted with all types of places to work, casual seating areas with sofas and chairs, a bar area, along with a west-facing terrace with a fire pit.

Seattle Chocolates Factory Tour by MG2, Tukwila – Washington

MG2 partnered with Seattle Chocolates to make this vision a reality, leading to a new retail space, a tasting room and a classroom for visitor’s in-depth chocolate education. The resulting tour takes customers down a bright magenta walkway on a behind-the-scenes tour of how the product is made, sorted and packaged.

Eye Eye Care & Clinic by Best Practice Architecture, Seattle – Washington

The concept evolved to incorporate a series of powder-coated steel “house” frames which march rhythmically through the space. Clad with a mixture of custom acrylic and wood eyeglass display boxes and mirrored surfaces, the frames have integral lighting which allow the viewer to try on eyewear and see themselves from many angles concurrently in their own private viewing gallery.
