Autoban’s first overseas project, 208 Duecento Otto restaurant is in Sheung Wen, Hong Kong. Art and design play a large part in the make-up of the restaurant’s surroundings, creating a fresh Bohemian energy. Inspired and encouraged by this fact, and the New York-style Italian menu, for the interior, Autoban chose to fuse different styles borrowed from the West as well as the
East.

A striking rustic iron facade welcomes visitors along with two Nest Chairs from the Autoban collection. The two-storey restaurant has a bar on the ground floor with a warm private dining room, which, with an interior staircase, leads up to the main dining area on the first floor.

The walls are covered in blue and white ceramic tiles that create a Chinese atmosphere, while the leather bar stools express a rustic, but also an urban New York feeling. Autoban’s presence is evident all throughout the restaurant, with steel pillars, marble tabletops as well as the lavish use of walnut. What was once a meat storage warehouse became this eye-catching Italian restaurant
with a cosmopolitan modern feel.
