One of the planet’s most talked about stores in recent years has arrived in London by way of a pop-up store, and one that heralds a permanent and bigger flagship opening a stone’s throw away coming fall. We’re obviously talking New York City’s Opening Ceremony. Cleverly timed just a few days prior to the opening of the 2012 olympics, the temporary store is located in the popular shopping hub of Covent Garden and measures a spacious 3,000 sq.ft. [279 sqm.]. So, what’s on the shelves? Actually, quite a lot. It carries the brand’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections for women, men and children, designer collections as well as signature collabs, including the debut of adidas x Opening Ceremony.

This special collection combines sartorial elements of swim and cycling with a street attitude, producing a range of sporty separates, printed bathing suits and clever new takes on classic adidas originals footwear. And adding up to the shopping excitement are a series of exclusive capsule collections by renowned designers, and special products inspired by the Olympics exclusively developed for Opening Ceremony by various brands including Band of Outsiders, Delfina Delettrez, House of Holland and Prism. Fashion house Proenza Schouler has created a special all-gold mini ps11 bag that is launching exclusively at the store.
