Interior design of a 30 sqm compact shop and studio in Berlin. The late thirties Art Deco look & feel was chosen to present and complement the 1950ies inspired fashion by Berlin designer Annika Graalfs. Special features are the fold up working table and the hide away changing room with contrasting textile wall panelling.

The central theme of the design is a yellow ‘mountain range’; depicting the stages and gradients of the Tour, it creates a hanging rail off which shirts can be merchandised, whilst product below sits on shelves marked with the names of the various stages of the competition.

One Leicester Street hotel by Universal Design Studio, London

One Leicester Street’s interior design has been concocted by London-based Universal Design Studio and features rooms in a clean contemporary style. Walls and ceilings are lined in slats of white-washed timber, and the setting is complemented by carefully selected custom furnishings and high-end fixtures.

Without much hoopla, an excellent little shop called Swords-Smith has opened on South 4th Street in the lower part of Williamsburg. The space is spare and architectural but still colorful and inviting, kind of like a Scandinavian Opening Ceremony.

Saint Jean Bar by Thilo Reich, Berlin

Dark green painted walls and anthracite oak floorboards create a dim and cosy place. It is dominated by a big centered generously proportioned bar which allows most of the guests to gather around the host/barman. The counter and the board along the windows are built of piled ancient ship planks.

Within the existing shell of a retail tenancy on Chapel St we designed a series of intersecting surfaces and shapes that collectively create an interior envelope and backdrop for the display of bespoke products. The space is also designed to function as a working studio space for the visiting artists as required.

Situated between Clarke’s and Paul Smith on Bree Street – Cape Town’s most up-and-coming retail address – Loom occupies a 58 square metre space that was designed and detailed by Keyworth in collaboration with Tonic Design. The interior features colours and shapes inspired by 80’s postmodernism juxtaposed with knackered and exposed brickwork and wood paneling.
