The ceiling of the pavilion was filled with hundreds of enlarged, printed pages from all ten annual reports that, suspended from a specially devised substructure, created a unique texture evocative of the tobacco leaves that used to hang in the space while drying.

The premises for this project were “coloring, animation, and imagination without limits, wild and indomitable, naturally bubbly and playful”, and once you are inside the toy store you can see all of this.

With its upgraded embedded technologies, this enlarged interactive artwork reacts to the sounds and motions of the people daily passing by. DUNE 4.1 is a sensual layer of interaction over the existing architecture of the Maastunnel in Rotterdam, NL.

To the office area we designed an open plan space, which was able to comfortably accommodate 50 people. Installing a tea point to the area meant that staff would not have far to walk carrying hot drinks and the curved partition wall surrounding the space gave separation from the neighbouring desks.

Bright furniture and wall panels alternate with strips of patterned wallpaper. The flooring in washed pine look also lends authenticity to the store concept. The majority of the wares are displayed on back-panel systems and in cupboards with a country house look. The white, grey and yellow tones of the backdrop sets scene for the colourful fashion style.
