Sushi SORA by A.N.D., Tokyo – Japan

Conjuring up a unique floating sensation, SORA’s entrance partition of crisscrossed arched steel rods reminds one of the “blurred” or “misty” look found in ink wash paintings. Looking through, the jet-black materials used in the interior create an ascetically suppressed space.

The interior is characterized by the repeated latticed-pattern that is used to line walls and installed on the furniture. The overlapping structure is used to form a table in the center of the shop, the top of which has a mirror placed on it to with a light that reflects the outline of a moon onto the ceiling.
