ShabuSEN, located at the Kwun Tong district in Hong Kong, is Japanese Shabu-Shabu Buffet Restaurant. It is operated by Tajimaya group which have many restaurants in Japan. The design was inspired by “扇 (Japanese Fun)”, used to the restaurant’s name 『しゃぶ扇(ShabuSEN)』. We simply applied its shape to create the space. It is arranged the different style to use at the design: decorative wooden openwork transom, lattice panel partition, relief painting wall. “Play with 扇(Japanese Fun)”, it is our concept for the design.
