Suria KLCC arguably has long been Kuala Lumpur’s most prestigious shopping mall, and it’s right here where Aesop has expanded its presence with a fourth store in the city. For this retail space the Australian sought the expertise of Melbourne-based practive Russell & George which created an all-white interior with subtle geometric detailing. Adding depth to the design are sleek, floor-to-ceiling metal tubes which optically add a sense of volume to the compact space. The sales desk at the back mimics the linearity with vertical stripes of stone. At the center of the store a demonstration sink is situated, crafted from contrasting copper. Rows of sunken ceiling spotlights, combined with backlit shelving, add a theatrical glow to the space. The new Aesop store carries the brand’s full range of skin, body and hair care products.
