Laccio ceramic tile series by Dsignio for Peronda Group

Dsignio is a Madrid-based studio that works on product and interior design projects, both in Spain and around the world. ‘Laccio’ is their latest design and it consists of a relief-patterned ceramic tile series created for the Peronda Group. To realize the tiles, Dsignio referenced the way in which birds build their nests, creating a surface decorated with a series of interlacing ribbons.

The strips run from one tile to another, forming a fascinating interwoven pattern that is emphasized by the slight textured-topography of the tiles and colors of each ribbon. ‘Laccio’ comes in a wide choice of colors to suit various types of settings: white, pale cement, grey cement, warm wood and stained white wood. The design aims create comfortable spaces that are enveloped by this nest-like wall coverings.
