With prestigious shopping malls either opening or being revamped, Bangkok’s retail scene is on the move again. The striking reinvention of Siam Discovery that has propelled the popular department store right back into the reputation-defining forefront of fashion and lifestyle. The new store concept not only features themed floors and curated product sections, but is now also dotted with branded units by coveted names from the world of fashion.
One of the brands that has debuted at Siam Discovery is Comme des Garçons. The Japanese fashion house already managed two stores in the thai capital, and we can only assume it couldn’t resist being part of this exciting new retail project, because a third boutique has been inaugurated on these premises.
Occupying a sizeable 175 sqm. [1,884 sq.ft.] unit on the venue’s so-called G floor and features a clean and understated interior of white walls, concrete flooring and differently-sized and mostly white displays, cabinets and shelving. The only decorative element are bold black dots, a signature graphic of the popular pocket Comme des Garçons line, can be found on specific furnishings and specific wall sections.
