The name of the original design brand AnnoMundi comes from the word “Genesis”, which means to open up the fantasy and explore oneself.
During the demolition process, it was discovered that the historical beam and column structure of the 100 year old building structure was unique and could not be replaced by modern techniques, so we decided to remove all the surface materials from the interior of the house to reveal the original structure texture, repairing the old as the old, and restoring the structural appearance of the 100 year old Shanghai building. This is complemented by black wooden floors, modern brushed stainless steel, mirrors and glass, creating a clash of materials and contrasts to create a relatively harmonious visual effect.
