The Vancouver-based waterproof footwear brand Vessi opened its inaugural brick-and-mortar location in the Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, BC. The 1,000 square foot retail shop offers the full range of footwear & accessories displayed within an airy & inviting layout.

Cutler Architecture & Design completed a quick turnaround of the space, formerly occupied by Call It Spring. The design uses light oak woodgrain, concrete, and bright green synthetic turf to mimic Vancouver’s urban landscape. Ample seating is provided along the perimeter wall as well as around freestanding benches. The storefront glazing is framed by textured tambour wood cladding. Shoppers can also put Vessi’s waterproof shoes to the test with integrated water features.
