Dimensional Innovations designed the Accenture Federal Services offices, The Forge®, in Washington DC as an immersive innovation center, blending architecture and technology to enhance collaboration and storytelling for federal clients.

Accenture Federal Services’ The Forge® in Washington, DC, was conceived as a next-generation innovation center where federal clients can experience emerging technologies in a setting that feels both immersive and highly intentional. Designed as a flagship environment for collaboration, storytelling and discovery, the space moves beyond the traditional briefing center model to create a curated journey through innovation. Dimensional Innovations partnered with Accenture Federal Services to shape an experience that integrates architecture, digital media and interactive technology into an environment for federal visitors.

From arrival, The Forge is designed to feel tailored and responsive. A customizable reception area sets the tone with lighting and personalized messaging, introducing guests to a space built around flexibility and engagement. From there, visitors move through a series of distinct yet connected spaces, each with its own role in the narrative. The Hub serves as a dramatic centerpiece, using a floor-to-ceiling DVLED display to support immersive presentations and collaborative sessions. Nearby, the Sandbox offers a more hands-on setting for live demonstrations, while the Control Room surrounds guests in a 270-degree environment anchored by an interactive touch table for deeper exploration and discussion.

Additional zones expand the experience while supporting a range of formats and audiences. The Stage provides a platform for presentations and broadcasts, the Expo highlights advancements in areas such as AI and accessibility and the Garage creates space for rotating interactive exhibits focused on emerging topics including robotics, quantum computing and the IoT. Together, these environments allow The Forge to function as both workplace and showcase, balancing hospitality, technology and strategic storytelling.

A custom content management system (CMS) gives the team precise control over digital content, lighting and environmental cues, allowing each visit to be adapted to a specific audience and objective. That flexibility is central to the project’s success. Rather than serving as a static showcase, The Forge operates as a living environment that evolves with each presentation and each client conversation.
