CORE is a collection of artistic objects designed to hold essences.
The project begins with a material tension: a delicate and permanent object remains hidden inside a block of clay that must be broken in order to be discovered.
The experience starts with a closed, heavy, and raw piece. The clay acts as a shell: protecting, concealing, and holding the access point. Once fractured, it reveals the inner core: a brass base with a dark wood piece, conceived to receive essences purchased separately in small glass bottles.
The discovered object has no scent of its own. Its initial state is neutral, silent, and waiting. The essence is applied afterward, allowing each user to activate the piece through their own choice. In this way, CORE separates three moments: the breaking of the clay, the discovery of the object, and the application of the essence.
The collection explores the relationship between matter, fragility, and permanence. The packaging does not disappear as waste; its fracture becomes part of the object’s narrative. Each clay fragment remains as evidence of the moment in which the piece was revealed.
Through primary materials such as clay, brass, wood, and glass, CORE proposes a more physical and contemplative way of approaching scent: an essence that is not immediately consumed, but instead finds a body in which to remain.
