Arrebolá is the new rosé wine created for Bodegas Martínez Paiva, a family winery located in Extremadura, Spain. The project involved the creation of a complete brand universe, from strategy and naming to the final packaging design.
The winery wanted a wine with its own identity, one that could stand apart from the rest of its portfolio while still carrying the credibility and heritage of the parent brand.
The strategy focused on highlighting the wine’s defining qualities by connecting them to its ideal moment of consumption. Warm evenings, outdoor terraces, conversations that naturally extend into the night and the extraordinary sunsets of Extremadura became the emotional territory of the brand.
This led to the project’s positioning:
“The elegant freshness of a rosé made for gatherings where one more glass is always poured.”
From this concept came the storytelling, the naming and every visual decision.
The name Arrebolá comes from the popular Extremaduran pronunciation of Arrebolada, the reddish glow that lights up the sky at sunset. Inspired by the wine’s own colour, the name evokes a specific atmosphere while firmly anchoring the brand to its place of origin.
The label translates this idea into a minimalist visual language. Colour becomes the main expressive element, establishing a direct connection between the wine itself and the vibrant hues of the Extremaduran sky at sunset. The semi-circular silhouette recalls the experience of looking up at the sky from an outdoor terrace, while delicate flowering branches and strings of lights subtly suggest long, relaxed evenings shared with friends.
Typography reinforces the balance between refinement and accessibility.
The colour palette is intentionally restrained: soft rosé pink as the dominant tone, black for contrast and legibility, subtle gold foil to evoke the warm glow of evening lights, Cool Gray to identify the winery as a mark of quality, and generous white space to create balance and visual lightness.
The tactile experience was equally important. The label is printed on Fedrigoni Tintoretto Gesso, whose delicate embossed texture enhances the depth of colour and reinforces the wine’s natural elegance. Gold foil and embossing add subtle sophistication without overpowering the concept, creating a finish that feels refined, timeless and coherent with the brand’s positioning.
