At the corner of rue Royale and place de la Madeleine, stands the exclusive Cerruti boutique, an historic address selected by the founder in 1967 that has been totally renovated. The space of 350 m2, created by Christian Biecherme, incorporates cosmopolitan architecture and sets the codes of the italian house: a reserved sense of luxury, that keeps with the new epoch.
The façade, in sandblasted mirrored glass, is inspired by the countryside and climate of Biella, birthplace of the label in Piedmont. The highly mineral and magnetic materials attract attention and highlight the nine boutique windows. On the ground, stone sits with a poplar forest and a geometric pouffe in smoky quartz leather. The ceiling, also in stone, contains clever grooves in which lighting, air conditioning and loudspeakers -Louis de Castro created the soundtrack for the boutique- are astutely concealed.
Soft herbaceous spaces created by Louis Benech and subtle details (exclusive olfactory design by Frédéric Malle) combine to create a unique atmosphere. This play on contrasts is equally subtle between the lacquered walls and a Berber wool carpet, 100% natural. The luxurious changing rooms, dressed with smoky gray Vanceva glass, contain back lighted triple mirrors and minibars. For VIPs, the lounge offers leather seating incorporated into the walls with integrated tables, ideal for a drink in front of the plasma screen. Heralded by windows furnished in a wardrobe style, items are presented without any further staging in an open space, as an invitation to browse.
The women’s ready-to-wear collection, by Richard Nicoll, and accessories are on the ground floor. Mounting the mirrored staircase, you arrive to the masculine section in the first floor. Shirts, sunglasses, shoes sit alongside the emblematic tailoring, from casual chic to made-to-measure. You can also find Cerruti 1881 pour Homme perfume, whose ambassador, Marc Lavoine, has been immortalised by the great photographer Peter Lindbergh. The house also proposes a wide range of items from selected partners. Borsalino hats, Causse gloves, Pinel&Pinel trunks and accessories, Samuel Gassman fine colored stone cufflinks, Philipp Treacy hats and evening bags, works published by Assouline, an exclusive stole collection by Cerruti and Dianora Salviati, irresistible themed pouffes (cactus, tiger, rabbit, and catfish) signed Maurizio Galante for Cerruti baleri edizioni.
