Oculus Design Studio’s Nestle offices in Bengaluru masterfully blends global design standards with local nuances, creating a future-ready workspace that fosters innovation, collaboration, and employee wellbeing in a technologically advanced environment.
The Nestle IT & Digital Hub Bangalore’s 25,000squarefoot workspace was envisioned as a flagship environment one that reflects the company’s growing technological strength while acting as a benchmark for its global teams. The brief called for a space that balanced operational efficiency with a strong brand identity, all while accommodating the needs and cultural nuances of multiple international stakeholders.
This ‘GLOCAL’ mindset to merge global standards with local relevance, shaped the foundation of the design.
Given the technology infrastructure and performance requirements, the workspace could have felt purely functional. We repositioned the design vision from surface level brand expression to a deeper cultural experience to ensure that technological rigor and human comfort could coexist.
A modular planning framework anchors the workplace, offering adaptability without compromising on clarity. Workstations, meeting suites, collaborative zones, and learning environments were intentionally arranged to support smooth transitions between focused work and collective engagement. Hierarchy was deliberately minimized to promote accessibility, acoustic balance, and intuitive wayfinding.
Brand presence is woven into the spatial language rather than treating it as decoration. The color palette reflects Nestlé’s global brand guidelines, translating corporate tones into a refined architectural expression. Cool blues and fresh greens are layered over tactile neutrals to maintain global consistency while ensuring visual comfort. Graphic interventions and environmental branding elements are curated with restraint reinforcing identity without overwhelming the workspace. Sustainable design principles were embedded at every layer from optimized space utilization to motion- sensor lighting to reduce environmental impact.
Technology is integrated seamlessly into the infrastructure, supporting ease of use. Smart booking systems, adaptive lighting controls, and inclusive digital learning tools are built into the space to enhance day to day efficiency. Each element is designed to work quietly in the background, ensuring the experience feels intuitive, connected and unobtrusively advanced.
To further support employee wellbeing, an essential component of a sustainable workplace, dedicated health rooms, recreational areas and focus pods were introduced. Designed to encourage pause and restoration, they reinforce the belief that a high performance technology hub must have humane elements to make it a great place to work.
Developed through continuous workshops and close collaboration with the Nestle IT & Digital Hub Bangalore team, the project aligns global expectations with local execution. The result is a future ready IT Hub that balances brand expression, technical precision, and human centric design. It is a workspace built to evolve with the organization while supporting the teams who drive its innovation.
