Cartwright Pickard is seeking a bids and communications coordinator to join its team in London.

At Cartwright Pickard, we’ve been challenging the norm to create inspirational places to live, work and learn for over 20 years. We’re a team of research-led designers who never forget that architecture has the power to improve lives.

We’re looking for a highly creative bids and communications coordinator to join our team in London. Working closely with our head of marketing and communications, this is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual who is full of ideas to make an impact across all aspects of the new business, client development and brand positioning activity of a thriving architectural practice.

With the ability to focus on individual tasks while also seeing the bigger picture, you will have one to three years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the architecture industry. You’ll be an expert at translating architectural design and technical information into clear, compelling and jargon-free brochures, reports, presentations and social content. We’re looking for someone with exemplary communication skills to set the tone and standard for communications across the practice and forge strong relations with people at all levels. It’s a fast-paced environment and you’ll need to have the ability to effectively prioritise work and react flexibly to a constantly changing workload to meet deadlines.

Your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • monitoring tender trackers and other industry sources for new opportunities
  • coordinating bid and tender submissions including EOIs, SQ and ITTs
  • producing graphics for design competitions
  • creating impactful marketing brochures and presentations
  • developing engaging content for our website and social media channels
  • assisting with the production of award submissions and press releases
  • keeping our CRM system, bids library and image library up to date
  • supporting the organisation of client events and conference attendance
  • taking an active role in internal communications and updating our intranet

You will have:

  • one to three years’ experience in a similar role
  • marketing, graphic design or architecture degree preferred
  • exceptional Adobe InDesign and Photoshop skills
  • Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro skills desirable (but not essential)
  • experience of using a CMS
  • knowledge of GDPR

At our open-plan studios in London, Leeds and Manchester, we’ve created an open, fair and friendly culture which allows our diverse team of talented individuals to flourish. We’ve held an Investors in People Silver accreditation since 2010, which is almost unique in our profession. We put a lot into the development and training of our staff. In return, we expect you to be at the top of your game, ambitious to learn and progress.

If you’d like to apply for this role, please send your CV and covering letter via the ‘apply’ link below.

Cartwright Pickard is an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to making our practice and our industry a diverse, equal and inclusive place to work. We consider flexible working arrangements on an individual basis and can discuss this with you if you are invited to an interview.
